Six men in Oregon have been federally charged with illegal medical marijuana distribution. The men have been accused of growing excessive amounts of marijuana, more than necessary for their medical marijuana patients, with the intent to sell.
The U.S. government proclaims that the amount of the marijuana that was seized exceeds 4,000 pounds. The men in question are being questioned about their intent to sell to individuals who do not possess a medical marijuana license.
This government raid may affect the overall way that medical marijuana is allowed to grow in the state of Oregon. As for the six men that were charged in the raid, they will each appear in court at different times throughout this week in their initial trial hearings.
